LPG (or Liquefied Petroleum Gas) is a by-product of the refining process that turns crude oil into petrol.
There are massive cost-saving benefits to be had by converting your car to dual fuel. LPG appreciably reduces harmful emissions and therefore improves local air quality.
In March 2001 the Government reduced the duty on LPG and have pledged to maintain this reduction until at least 2004. The current political agenda is headed by the need to encourage eco-friendly fuels. If your car is under 5 years old, up to 50% of the cost of your conversion may be covered by a Grant.
